Public Education
31 May 2017
CMHA Weyburn provides public education in many forms.
We visit different groups and agencies to provide information on the services and programs offered within our centre.
We have provided presentations to schools on the topics of suicide as well as on the difference between Mental Health and Mental Illness.
safeTALK – Suicide Alertness for Everyone: workshops offered 2-3 times per year.
ASIST – Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training: CMHA Weyburn works with Sun Country Health Region to provide ASIST training throughout the year as well.
We also host an Annual Mayor’s Luncheon during Mental Health Week, this allows us to provide information and raise the profile of mental health in our community.
For more information or to ask about workshops please contact Tasha Collins – Program Director at CMHA Weyburn 306-842-7959.
